Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick- Toasted Almond

I'm still looking for the champagne nude lip color. I stumbled upon Maybelline's Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Toasted Almond and thought it might do the job.

This lippie is indeed very moisturizing. Really like the formula. It has a scent that fades away after application.

Unfortunately, this was not the color I was looking for. The shimmers are silver and become very prominent. I do, however, really love the transparent top. It's very sturdy and sleek.

Ah well, better luck next time!

Battle!: Drugstore Eyeshadows

Hihi! Found an SD card with all these swatches that I did and never got around to posting. Basically I went out and bought a bunch of Almay, Maybelline, and L'oreal eyeshadows. It started from seeing all the cool Almay ads on their newest collection.

To make a long story short, I remember why I don't buy drugstore eyeshadows. The pigmentation SUCKS! I swatched all of these by really digging into the shadows before applying. To be fair I didn't use any kind of primer. These are good if you're just starting out and want to play with different colors. You can see what works and what doesn't work without spending a huge amount of money. Once you settle on your colors though, go out and buy a nicer one! It's totally worth it. The ones with higher pigment save you time on application and they last a long time as well.

I'm not going to go in dept labeling wise right now. Maybe I'll update later. There's not really much motivation though -___-||

I'm sure the rest of the swatches are around here somewhere, just have to find them.

Maybelline Shine Sensational Gloss

You may have seen these new cute little glosses before. Usually I'm not a big fan of maybelline stuffs but these were so cute I just had to take a look. I went to the rite aid near me, but they didn't have it, so I waited until I could get to another one to look for it.

I had my eyes set on guava, but when I smelled it, it had nothing of the yummy guava scent that I've become so familiar with through eating many many packs of yogurt. =/. So one by one I went through all the tubes and smelled them, smelled like cheap gloss.

I then decided on the melon one because it seemed least harmful, but as I was walking I thought to myself, why should I feel forced to buy something that I don't even really like 100% in the first place if I already have so many glosses? So I slowly convinced myself to put it down while looking for heat protectant for my hair. Yay! props to me for not buying the gloss!

Nails: Gitter me Pretty

I came up with a random look using NYC nail polish that I just happened upon. It's gorgeous in real life and the pictures don't do it any justice. For a base (I found it didn't look good without one) I used an old Maybelline polish that I had- White a While from the Forever Strong line. It's like a shiny cream white. On top I put the NYC sparkle polish in Starry Silver Glitter. It's basically clear polish with lots of little silver glitter, and pink and blue glitter chunks.
