GMarket Haul: It's Here!

     It's been a long while since I've done much but beauty subscription box reviews. This post is to welcome back reviews of other things. =D

Today I got a nice surprise. Turns out the mailman does knock when leaving packages. I've long suspected that they just leave the "attempted delivery" notice and don't bother coming to the door.

GMarket has returned to putting random item values on the boxes. Whew.

 Etude House really lavished each item with bubble wrap. At least four layers for each item. I used to wonder why people would bother shipping hair dye over. Seems like a heavy waste of money. But then I got curious about the products myself XD. The boxes are much larger than that of those here in the US. I think I will try using Mocha Pink first since my hair is drastically different at the roots. The pink and green boxes are extras.

You want to know what's in the pink box right? ;) It's a bit of a disappointment. I purposely only bought a certain amount because I wanted the other body wash or whatever set to try. Guess they ran out or something. Normally this would be a nice gift, but I already got this green set last time. Still haven't even used it.

Got a bag! Aw, I should've checked the dimensions better. This is way thin. The material is of a nice heft though. Doesn't feel too cheap. It has an attachable shoulder strap. Scissors for size reference.

This was a HUGE disappointment. First of all, I'm pretty sure I ordered gray. This looks like a beige. It doesn't seem that bad from the photo, but in real life it looks awkward. Even more disappointing than that is the fabric. It looks like it's made out of potato sack. The material is so coarse. For ~$30, this is not what I should be getting. If you said $10-$15 I might just chalk it up to being unlucky. This is downright swindling people!

To be extra sure, I took the vest into natural light? Is anyone seeing gray? If so, let me know, we can go to the eye dr. together. I implore you to look at the button, which is clearly brown.

The blazer was also a disappointment. You said this is your best seller? HA! The proportions aren't right on this thing, it's too short and wide. I ordered the same size as above. The material is even coarser than the vest above. It's actually stiff. And so so thin. I knew it was a bit thin from pictures, but this is ridiculous. The buttons are also not what I imagined, very cheap looking. That's not a big problem because I can exchange them, but the actual blazer is total junk. I ordered this after falling in love with the same style on a drama. Looks nothing like it.

 The green book is an album for mini instax photos. Very happy with it ^^. Looks exactly like what I wanted. The bows are all as expected. I saw the free gift bow and was like.. what is this? I didn't order this. I wouldn't order this... I think the coolest item is probably the huge circle clip thingy. There's also a Tony Moly highlighter.

The shoes are supposed to be pink leather. It looks more like nude pink instead of the bright cute happy pink I was expecting. The cut is also a bit strange so it looks like it's made for a granny. They give you padding. It's thoughtful, but looks strange if you use it because the toe area of the shoe will be white.

Overall I'm satisfied with half my order, and hate the other half. I will review the cosmetics and such later on. It's a shame that the items I dislike most are the most expensive -___-. Apparently it's best to stick with ordering cosmetics and small accessories from GMarket. I have always seen other people ordering apparel and thought "wow.. that's so ugly" while the blogger gushed about how much they loved the product. I'm convinced there's just not really anything worth getting from the apparel department. For me at least.

This order left me feeling a bit empty (not even that many freebies), so I will be placing another one next month. That one will be focused more on cosmetics and little random things. First I want to see if they'll refund me for the wrong vest though.

GMarket Order Update

     As some of you may have read, I recently put in an order to GMarket. This post will be where I post short (hopefully!) updates on how the order is progressing. Crossing my fingers that all goes well from here on out.

So I already encountered 1 problem. The Amore Pacific product seller decided they weren't going to ship the Laneige skincare products that I have been desperately wanting to try. It's extra frustrating because all my items had arrived to the GMarket warehouse within 3 days, and here is this one seller holding up my entire order. It seems GMarket gives the seller 1 week to send the items before cancelling the order. 1 week passed and today I received the notice that GMarket had cancelled my order for the items =(. I really hope the seller gets some sort of penalty for not following through since we can't even leave feedback about it.

Hopefully by the time I wake up tomorrow the package will have been weighed and ready to ship. I have another order set up because I wanted to use up all the extra money in the GCash account. I wanted to wait until they refund me the extra money from the first order first though. My plans have been fouled by this hiccup ~_~. I will try to order the Laneige products from another seller.

I noticed the quickest to ship are the small time sellers. They had my items on their way by the next day.

Oh my goodness! Somehow it sped through customs this time and has made it into my state! I should probably prepare to open the door tomorrow. Hopefully the delivery person knocks or presses the doorknob hard enough...

Heads Up for Missha!

     Hihi! Just a quick preview post. I finally got my Missha order in today. They added in the Olive sheet mask as a Missha 3rd birthday present, the full sized No. 21 BB cream as a first time buyer gift (I've been thinking on how I can try this!), a mini Time Revolution sample (I think I tried and liked this before?), and a 10 pack tea tree sheet mask as a buy over $X gift. The packaging is super cute and sturdy. I'm waiting until I can snap some daylight pictures for you before reviewing. Hopefully I'll have them up by this weekend. Some of the colors I'm liking, some not so much- look forward to my reviews!

PG Mall Bags!

Hihi! Ok I said BB cream post but... this will not be it. It's so time consuming and well, I don't have enough yet. BUT I am due for one, so hopefully I can have one up within a week.

    INSTEAD, I thought I'd share about a couple PGMall Bags I got in asia! You may remember, but I tried getting one from YesAsia before (the checkered one), but that didn't turn out the way I thought it would. And it costed me 3x the price. BUT in Asia, it's so much cheaper. I think these two were ~$6-10 apiece. They had some lottery thing where you can get up to ~$3 off, which would've helped a lot! I got to draw twice, so I had the potential to get one bag free. BUT... you know how my luck goes, and I ended up with the equivalent of maybe 30 cents on one ticket, and nothing on the other.

     At the actual store, I got to feel out the bags and their quality. Although a lot of the bags are cute, they're made of material that won't last. I settled on a larger brown bag- in case i ever needed to transport something or stayover a night. There's an additional longer strap inside. And a gray bag. I think they're both very nice ^^. One thing that bothered me in the store is that the two times I was there... they kept playing this one song "Baby I'm your porn star, I'm your porn star, hahh haahh" I think it's Cargo's Pornstar. It's probably because no one else could understand the lyrics that they didn't mind. It was only awkward for me.

Also, recently, I've been not doing well in regards to my future. So if you could throw a few prayers my way they'd be much appreciated. Thank you!

GMarket Haul (Finally!) Pt.1

This time, the box came all mangled and wet. Strange because it didn't rain. I was reading horror stories about how sometimes the Fed Ex trucks will leak and packages will stick to the floor. I guess that's what happened here. Also, I noticed that Gmarket doesn't lower prices on the front for customs anymore. Which is terrible for me because for some reason the packages always deliver when I'm not home, so when other people sign for the package they can see how much I spent...

Got these cute cheap earrings! The seller actually got my order wrong, I didn't order the crown bow earrings, I ordered another pair, but at <$1, I figured it wasn't worth arguing about. They're cute anyways (I just ordered the ones I originally wanted in my next order again ^^. Hairtie is a freebie. If you want the bow crown earrings though I can ship them to you for $2! I needed an overnight bag so I thought I'd take a look around =/ I think I ordered the wrong one. I was trying to decide between two. This one looked fancier on the outside, but I think it may be too thin a bit =/. Still looks ok if I want to fill it with clothes though. I don't know why the picture is sideways, but this way I can squeeze them both on the same line ^^.

 Also spotted what I thought was an interesting trenchcoat~ The back area is chiffon. The only thing is I thought the material was thicker, and it's quite light. Very VERY soft and comfy material. I think this is more suited for spring/ early fall. I'm very short so these sleeves come past my fingertips... I got another one on Gmarket (I'll show you later) which has shorter sleeves (it's got its quirks too, tell you about them later), so if you are looking for an traditional piece with a bit of flair for slightly chilly weather, I can send this to you at the heavily discounted price (it was not cheap) of $15 shipped. I won't give it much use since I have the other one with slightly shorter sleeves. The hairties seller was really cute! They even wrote me a note in English and packaged my things nicely. I HIGHLY recommend the cloth hairties. They are impressive looking. 

Got some gaudy rings! The other pearl thing is a freebie. I think it's an apology for one of the items being out of stock.

Hairbands. I don't really wear hairbands, but they were cute.

ALSO... BIG NEWS, I got an Instax Mini 25. Not from Gmarket though, because I figured if something went wrong I couldn't return it. I love it so much, I dream about taking pictures with it. At first I couldn't figure out which way the macro lens went on, then I realized the flat part was to not cover the mirror area.

New Perspective and Yesstyle.com Order

Remember when I was telling you about my Ingot gold/pink nailpolish a long time ago and how it thought it was too gold? Well recently I've been growing fonder of it. Not by itself, but with a peroxide gel coat on top. The peroxide coat brings out more of the pink. I think the pink just gives it a hint of something different that lets it complement my skin tone more. Better than a plain champagne color would do. I still don't think I'd buy it again at $14 but I have no idea where to get a dupe.

Also, I'm not sure why but my pics keep posting all rotated. They're right side up on my comp. Oh well.

So my yesstyle.com order came in a while ago, and I can't say I'm too pleased. The shirt doesn't look as I'd have expected a shirt of its price to cost. Instead it looks as if it were just cut out of a piece of cloth and crudely sewn. The hems aren't even done right, it's just folded over once and stitched. I'm scared it'll start fraying.  And what's up with this huge sleeve?! I guess it's my fault because you can't tell from the pic. I'm thinking of hemming it up either closer to the body or closer to the sleeve- I think body will be better because I'll have an airy sleeve and the rest will be more form fitting. The material is also coarse and thin. So thin you can see through it.

The bag is huge. I didn't grasp the magnitude until it arrived and my books disappeared into it. It has a super foul factory odor that makes me want to barf. I'm not one that's particularly sensitive to the slight odors from new products but this was a terrible chemical/ plastic smell. The rings as expected are cheap PU. I think the only thing I really like about it is the silky lining inside.

I read somewhere that some girl gets all her clothes from here, with this kind of quality, I have to wonder how much money she has to blow her money away.

Box it comes in. Thank goodness they play down the value for customs, but if the invoice says everything costs $10, then I've been seriously overcharged! Still it's not as outrageous as GMarket. That a box 5X the size of this with things 4X the price can be $13 is quite amazing. What I have to give them props for is that my box came within ONE day of shipping. That's right, all the way from HK it took one day to get here!

The Haul is Here!!

I got my package yesterday but waited to post this because the system wouldn't let me review the items since I missed the delivery, so it said "Delivery Failure" even though I already picked it up. I had to wait until today to review.

Just wanted to go through a couple things I learned this time around.
1) Check the seller reviews. If there are any visible "Dissatisfied"s in any column then that's something to watch out for. Especially when it pertains to delivery because that can hold up your entire order

2) If you have stamps, try the 1 stamp lotto. You can exchange 5 stamps for a 1000 won coupon as a sure thing, but I tried using the 1 stamp/ 1000 won lotto and got 4-1000 won coupons in my 6 tries. I think that's a lot better of a deal. I don't recommend trying the 2 stamps/ 2000 won cuz if you lose then you just lost two. Also, that means look for sellers that give out stamps too, because that will help your future order. Don't convert stamps right away but only when you're going to use them because they do expire.

3) In the US, USPS will try to deliver, and when no one opens the door you either have to fill out the slip for redelivery - at least another 2 days wait >.< - or you pick it up yourself. They don't just leave the package.

4) When making your order, put your entire address on that one line, lol. Since it's printed onto the delivery form that way, I'm pretty sure that's probably why they returned it last time now. Also, GMarket does make mistakes, they left out a number on my zip code- and yes i did put it in right

5) Review the right thing under the right page. I was being dumb and even though I knew it said peach blusher, I somehow ignored/ forgot and proceeded to review a lipstick under that. And there's no way I can remove it. I notified customer service ^^;; So yes, that big block of irrelevant review that sits there staring back at me is mine. I am dumb.

6) You can't use the cash balance to pay first then pay for the rest of your order some other way. If you want to use the remaining money in your cash balance you have to buy something less than that amount- which means more expensive shipping. I chose to go the pay more right now and stick more money in there for a future haul route. $15 shipping for one item just doesn't sit right with me. Especially in this economy

7) Package took a total of 10 days to arrive

And I'm still waiting to try the O2 White Mask out longer to see if it actually works.

As you can see, the items are all Etude House. No wonder it's such a popular brand. Next time I'm definitely not hesitating to order from them again since this now makes 2 very good experiences.

I was going to post a picture of the overall haul, but now that I think about it, I don't have one -___- it's all on my camera, and i can't get it onto this computer because the adapter is built into my other computer which is currently being fixed for the SECOND time this summer with the same problem. The first time being when I hauled the first time so there were no pics up then even though I said there were going to be. I'll go back and post those up now i guess, lol. And this haul's I'll do when i get my computer back.

So apparently once you post a review, it can't be taken off, even by the GMarket ppl X_X. Now my stupidity is permanent.

On a good note, here are haul pics.

As you can see, GMarket really plays down the value of the items. I have to wonder if customs doesn't ever find it really suspicious that this huge box would only have 4 items. 

And If someone could tell me what this box says, I'd be delighted.

GMarket Round 2 Update!

A hopefully brief update on the status of my order.

Made my order, which was super annoying to do since something wouldn't let me pay. then I realized it's because I wasn't using internet explorer (for some reason gmarket likes ie- one of the many reasons I shouldn't get a mac, right?). then i noticed something was missing from my cart (too little money) - oops how did that happen?- so after 45 min of struggling, my payment finally went through.

Yipee!! 2 things have shipped domestically. probably since i ordered while it was daytime over there. one is the peripera nail polishes that I ordered, and the other are all the lipsticks and stuffs from Etude House. The Etude House was a fast shipper last time too. sigh, i hope there are no problems with international shipping this time so that I can actually rate/ review them to tell them how awesome they are.

To make sure, i put the city and state on there too. since there was only one line and no city/ state I thought they didn't need it last time (because you can find the info from the zip code and street address easily) but this time i thought i should put it all on there, even on the single line because that might have actually been what caused the shipping screw up last time -___-;;; like it didn't look right to somebody so they shipped it back.

so now i'm just waiting for 6 more things to ship!

Etude House and peripera nail polishes that shipped yesterday arrived at GMarket! Clio lippies and peripera lipstick has also shipped domestically. I think the only real thing i'm waiting for now are the hairties/ earrings. =/ if I'd known they were gonna be the slow shippers then I wouldn't've ordered. I could've done without those actually. Hopefully they ship by tomorrow at least. otherwise i'm gonna have to give less than stellar shipping ratings ~.~

So the shipping's been calculated, and this time it's a lot closer so I only got about a $10 refund. wonder why it's close to the amount last time even though last time i ordered bigger and more things X_X. maybe box weight? I had them take the banila co out of the separate boxes since the seller's known to do that and ship them together. Est. 4.7 kg, actual: 2.08 kg. So about 5 lb off, not bad right? compared to last time's 11 kg (~24lb) difference, lol.

Woke up this morning with a lovely surprise. My package has shipped internationally!! - Well it's been handed over to the air carrier anyways so I assume it's on it's way. I like how the EMS tracking is actually in English now instead of Korean. Although, I guess they really should have it in both just in case the person sending from korea wants to know where it is.

It's also the first time I'm seeing the red "Item Received" buttons. This must be a very good sign that things are going smoothly. The only thing though, why do they have to have the buttons show up so early? I'm rediculously tempted to click on them even though my items haven't arrived! lol.

Even MORE exciting, on the tracking page it tells you what flight the package is on, so you can actually track the plane as well!! I popped my flight number into google, and it told me that the plane had landed in Alaska. And now it's en route to an airport in NY. It'll arrive there at almost 1 am. I wonder if they have a break or they immediately send the packages off for shipping/ flying. That's a lot of work. Hopefully my local USPS can kick it into gear too and maybe if the truck can get over to my state by morning, then USPS can deliver by tomorrow!!! Yea, I guess that's not likely.

RAWR!!!!! They delivered this morning, but my doorbell didn't work, so now I still have no package! T^T. I'll try to go to the po today and pick it up once I figure out where it is.

Gmarket Haul Finally + Flood

Ok...so my house flooded, thus..my package looks like this. Uh, haha this is embarrassing, so it turns out the package arrived quite a few days ago, but no one bothered to tell me =X. They were also going to move the package to my room, but they just cleaned it so they opted not to. Big mistake, when the flood waters came in, half my package had to go into the garbage (the cotton pads) T_T.

Update coming soon, just sit tight while I clean everything first >.<.

Filled four of these cups up with flood water, ew. and tears. My Banila Co Blush that came powdered/ broken. The whole haul.
